Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our friendly guide will warmly welcome you and provide a detailed briefing on your upcoming 5-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari. After the briefing, you will be transferred to your booked hotel in Kampala, where you can settle in, enjoy a delicious dinner, and relax before your overnight stay.

After breakfast, set off from Kampala on an exciting journey through Uganda’s picturesque landscapes. The drive takes you through serene papyrus swamps and the verdant jungles of the Nile Delta, leading toward Kibale National Park, nestled beneath the awe-inspiring Rwenzori Mountains. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk around the park’s stunning crater lakes area, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural insights. Conclude your day with a delightful meal and an overnight stay at your booked hotel.

Begin your day with an exhilarating half-day trek in Kibale Forest, where you will search for chimpanzees and have the opportunity to encounter up to 10 other primate species, including phoestes, red colobus, blue monkeys, and the red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabey. Your experienced guide will share captivating insights into the behaviour of these primates as well as the diverse flora and fauna of the forest. This trek also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities and close-up encounters with primates in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable trekking experience, return to the lodge for lunch. Following your meal, embark on a scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Upon arrival, enjoy a delightful dinner and unwind with an overnight stay at your reserved lodge.

Start your day with an early breakfast as you prepare for the highlight of your adventure—gorilla trekking. The experience begins at 8:00 AM with a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) staff, who will provide important information about the trek. Be sure to pack essentials such as a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and sturdy jungle boots. Accompanied by expert guides, you will venture deep into the lush forest in search of the elusive mountain gorillas, a truly thrilling and unforgettable experience. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' location, but every moment of the journey is rewarding. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the lodge or opt for a community walk to immerse yourself in the local culture.

After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi and return to Kampala, continuing on to Entebbe. Along the way, you’ll stop for lunch and visit the Igongo Cultural Centre to explore the lifestyle of the Ankole and Bahima people. You will also have a chance to stop at the Uganda Equator for a brief photo opportunity before proceeding to Entebbe for your evening departure flight home after the 5 Days Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking.
