4 Days Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, and after completing the immigration formalities,our safari driver will warmly welcome you. After a brief orientation, you will be transferred to your reserved accommodation, where you can relax and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

After a hearty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin an exciting day of exploration with a captivating city tour. The journey starts with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a profoundly moving site where over 250,000 Rwandans are laid to rest, offering deep insights into the nation’s history and resilience. Following the city tour, enjoy a delicious en-route lunch before embarking on a scenic drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in south-western Uganda. Along the way, take in the breath-taking vistas of terraced farms and rolling landscapes. Bwindi, is celebrated as the sanctuary for nearly half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, savour a delightful dinner and settle in for a comfortable overnight stay.

Start your day with a refreshing cup of coffee before attending a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority officials. After the briefing, embark on an unforgettable journey into the jungle to search for the elusive mountain gorillas and observe their captivating lifestyle in their natural habitat. Accompanied by a team of researchers and habituation experts, you will participate in the gorilla habituation process. Unlike standard gorilla trekking, this unique experience allows you to spend an extraordinary four hours with the gorillas, offering a deeper and more immersive opportunity to observe and interact with them. During this time, you can capture photos and videos while the rangers and experts share fascinating insights into the gorillas; biology, behaviours, and conservation. In the afternoon, take a village foot safari to explore the local community, engage with its residents, and experience their vibrant culture. The day concludes with a captivating traditional performance, offering a glimpse into the rich heritage of the region. Return to your lodge to enjoy a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Upon arrival in Kigali, and if time permits, you may explore local craft shops or wander through the bustling markets to experience the vibrant atmosphere of local vendors and discover unique souvenirs Later, you will be transferred to either the airport for your departure flight or your hotel.
